The Process

Step 1: Planning & Permits

  • Blueprints & Design: We will design a code-compliant blueprint with a layout that you love.

  • Obtain Permits: Local building codes must be met, requiring permits for framing, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.

Step 2: Site Preparation

  • Mark The Layout: Identify the basement’s dimensions based on the house plans.

  • Lumber Delivery: Supply everything needed to advance to the next step.

  • Floor Adjusting: Not every floor is perfect, if your basement floor isi’t leveled we might strongly recommend you level it.

Step 3: Getting Inspection Ready

  • Framing: Making sure studs are 16” or 24” on center, having vapor barrier and fire stop. Last but not least, having floating walls in Colorado is a must.

  • Plumbing: If any plumbing is required for a bathroom, shower or a dry bar.

  • Electrical:

  • These are the first 4 required to pass your first inspection.

Step 4: Flooring & Finishing Touches

  • Flooring Installation: Options include luxury vinyl, carpet, tile, or engineered wood, depending on moisture levels.

  • Lighting & Fixtures: Recessed lighting, wall sconces, or custom fixtures enhance the space.

  • Final Paint & Trim: Walls are painted, and baseboards, doors, and trims are installed for a polished look.
